London Men's fashion Week: J.W.Anderson Spring Summer 2013

This year while also hosting the 2012 Olympics, London is also showing at the beginning of the fashion week schedule (menswear). The acknowledgement is huge. London has successfully become a contender to the other major fashion cities. With a slew of new designers, those previously not highly publicized, and designers moving there, Londres is shinning.
So, J.W. Anderson S/S 13 collection is a great presentation to view for an idea of the creativity currently in London. The collection was just the right amount of androgyny that made it very sellable and also progressive. There were monochromatic matching and great takes on tailoring, which isn't really shocking since London is known for the bespoke work found in the city. Shown also were suits that when worn together or separately would really pull a look together. The headscarves give the immediate thought of femininity leaving you to also freely imagine an actual woman wearing the look and it works for both. The shoes were made in different variations on height with pairs of rounded off flat soled shoes and platform sandals.
Im very excited to see how London stands amongst the other cities in the season to come.
